Description

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team in the construction/contractor industry located in Concord, California. Your role will involve handling a large volume of data, reconciling financial records, and ensuring accurate transaction recording. This opportunity offers a short term contract employment.

Responsibilities:

• Strategize and reconcile financial records with bank statements for accurate transaction recording.

• Identify and resolve discrepancies between financial records.

• Prepare necessary journal entries to update and adjust financial records for accordance between bank and general ledger.

• Address and resolve issues in the reconciliation process and provide detailed explanations for any identified variances.

• Prepare necessary documentation for accounting or audit purposes, including transaction details and bank statements.

• Enhance efficiency and effectiveness of controls related to cash handling and transactions within the organization.

• Utilize advanced Excel skills for data handling and reconciliation.

Requirements

• Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Accounting field, preferably within the Construction/Contractor industry.

• Strong Excel, large datasets with pivot tables, vlookups, nested formulas, macros

• Heavy reconciliation
