Description We are on the lookout for a meticulous and organized Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in the Health Pharm/Biotech industry, located in ANN ARBOR, Michigan. This role is pivotal in managing and overseeing our financial systems and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency. You will be responsible for the full cycle of accounting, including GAAP Accounting, SAP, SAP HANA, Month End Close, and Financial Statement Preparation.
Responsibilities include:
• Supervising and managing the accounting department functions including employee supervision, budget preparation and review, and preparing monthly and annual financial reports.
• Implementing and managing all phases of the accounting process to ensure accurate and timely financials.
• Ensuring adherence to GAAP Accounting principles and company procedures.
• Controlling and overseeing all aspects of financial management systems, such as ERP and ADP - Financial Services.
• Utilizing SAP and SAP HANA systems for financial operations and reporting.
• Conducting month-end and year-end closures and managing the preparation of financial statements.
• Ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness of financial and management reporting.
• Ensuring the company's financial systems, procedures, and controls are designed to meet legislative requirements.
• Working closely with the team to drive improvements in reporting and real-time analysis of financial data. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Health Pharm/Biotech industry
• Proficiency in GAAP Accounting and Full Cycle Accounting
• Demonstrated experience with SAP and SAP HANA software
• Expertise in Month-End Close procedures
• Ability to prepare Financial Statements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA certification or equivalent qualification is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
