　　Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategically minded Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial records, and supporting the company's financial health through diligent oversight and reporting. While primarily focused on operational accounting, this role offers the opportunity for future involvement in financial strategy and broader business management.

　　Key Responsibilities:

　　Manage daily accounting procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements and GAAP      principles.Prepare general ledger entries and reconciliation for month end and year end closing in a timely manner.Compile raw inventory, accruals, financial metrics, etc. for month and year end close.Maintain billing and release invoices to clients in a timely manner.Contact vendors regarding past due invoices and resolve any billing discrepancies.Match, gather, and allocate customer payments and apply them in the ERP system.Process credit card payments, wire transfers, and monitor company cash flow.Follow appropriate established procedures for processing cash, bank deposits, receipts, etc.Process bi-weekly payroll and quarterly bonuses.  Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.Oversee R&D tax credit.Complete annual and monthly financial census reports.Manage accounting clerical staff, ensuring accuracy and productivity.Serve as a backup to accounting clerical staff, cutting checks, accounts payable, etc. as needed.*What We Offer: *Competitive salary and quarterly bonuses. 　　RequirementsBachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.3+ years of accounting experience, with a demonstrated track record of managing day-to-day financial operations.Strong understanding of accounting theory, principles, and practices.Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and manage one direct report.TO APPLY:Online: https://www.northernmfg.com/careers.html
