Description An Accounting Clerk position is available through Robert Half, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary position based in the Great River, New York area. Do you thrive in an energetic, team-oriented environment? 　　What you get to do every day

　　Report financial facts to journals and ledgerst

　　Help Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing

　　Compose statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

　　Support Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit

　　Order documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

　　Reconcile discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

　　General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects Requirements - AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

　　Strong familiarity with Invoice

　　Comprehensive knowledge of data entry

　　Oracle experience preferred

　　MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations experience required

　　Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus

　　Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
