Description Are you an Accounting Clerk looking to join a well-respected organization? Robert Half is looking for a candidate to support a department as an Accounting Clerk. The Accounting Clerk position seeks an experienced candidate in the following tasks: matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a short-term contract / temporary position located in the Newport Beach, California area.

　　How you will make an impact

　　Support Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing

　　Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of an array of sources

　　Transmit financial information to journals and ledgers

　　Support Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit

　　Patch up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

　　Assemble documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

　　Standard accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects Requirements - Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

　　Journal Entry experience preferred

　　Well-founded grasp of numeric data entry

　　Experience with Ledger Journal Entries

　　Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

　　Proven knowledge of Journal Entry Preparation

　　Proficiency in journal entries

　　AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

　　Accurate, swift, data entry abilities

　　Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment

　　Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system

　　2+ years of relevant experience
