Description

We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team in the non-profit industry in Honolulu, Hawaii. This Accounting Clerk role involves performing various accounting and clerical tasks related to the maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. This opportunity offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all tasks related to accounts payable and ensure all payments are made in a timely manner

• Perform account reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures

• Efficiently process daily receipts and manage financial data entry tasks

• Maintain accurate records of all expenses for reporting and auditing purposes

• Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis to reflect accurate financial transactions

• Ensure all accounting tasks are performed in compliance with the financial policies and regulations of the non-profit industry

• Resolve any discrepancies or issues relating to accounting or finance

• Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and systems

• Provide assistance in preparing end of year accounts and financial reports

• Handle other accounting tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the non-profit sector

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger

• Demonstrated ability to perform accurate Data Entry tasks

• Experience in handling Daily Receipts is necessary

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work output

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of non-profit accounting principles and regulations is a plus

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
