Description We are searching for a self-motivated Accounting Clerk who will be responsible for maintaining the financial records of our company through a variety of tasks. The Accounting Clerk’s responsibilities will include managing expense reports and reimbursements, entering financial transactions into our internal databases, and executing invoices. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and an analytical mind. Responsibilities: Perform routine clerical duties including the calculation, posting, and verification of financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. Compile and sort documents such as invoices and checks, and substantiate business transactions. Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes. Prepare and bank deposits, process cash receipts, and perform bank reconciliations. Maintain accuracy in financial records by checking the veracity of invoices and other accounting documents. Develop monthly financial statements that include cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets. Handle petty cash transactions and maintain a petty cash log. Process payroll information and assist during audits. Maintain confidentiality of all financial data. Perform other duties as assigned or as needed. Requirements Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in accounting or relevant field is preferred. Prior experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role. Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and principles of accounting. Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and good knowledge of relevant accounting software (QuickBooks, for example). Strong numeracy and organizational skills. Accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to meet deadlines. Good ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with different levels of staff and management. Knowledge and competency in financial regulations. Flexibility to adapt to changes in a busy and demanding environment.
