Description JOB SUMMARY The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for accurate and timely accounts payable entries and working daily with accounts payable team members to implement process improvements in the department. Validate invoice data in Metaviewer (Accounts payable automation system) prior to sending invoices for approval. Mange exception ques in Metaviewer for invoices that need to be validated by the accounts payable team. Review hotel and car rental invoices for accuracy prior to invoice entry into a database. Prepare special handling requests and payment requests. Assist with weekly check runs and wire payment processing. Pick up daily mail to sort and distribute to the appropriate department. Assist with vendor follow-up on invoice questions and payment. Request vendor information for new vendor set up. Reply to internal and external emails in the accounts payable email box. Work with the AP team to gain efficiencies. Other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY None. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High school diploma required. Intermediate compluter knowledge of MS Office specifically Excel and Great Plains Accounting Ability to communicate with all levels of management Organized, able to work alone with little supervision and collarobate on a team PREFERRED SKILLS Account payable experience Ability to communicate effectively written and verbally Ability to work overtime as required Ability to work alone with little supervision or on a team WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in a professional office environment.
