Description

　　Robert Half is searching for an efficient Accounting Clerk. The day-to-day operations of this role include, matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This permanent Accounting Clerk position is located in the Brookfield, Wisconsin, area.

　　Key responsibilities

　　General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

　　Create statements and reports that require the use of a number of sources

　　Post financial information to journals and ledgers

　　Handle Accounts Receivable tasks: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

　　Support accounts payable by filing vendor invoice and disbursements and by matching & filing A/P invoices

　　Reconcile discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as needed

　　Code documents using the proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes

　　Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

　　Requirements - Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds

　　AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

　　Candidates with Spreadsheet and ERP system experience will be prioritized

　　Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

　　Proficiency in journal entries

　　Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred

　　Experience with high volume data entry
