About Accounting Analyst II

  The Country Accountant is mainly responsible for the following:

  Ensures efficient and effective closing of subsystems such as AR, Sales, Deferred Revenue, Stock Obsolescence, Work in Progress and Royalties.

  Analyze and records accrual and deferment of Revenue and COS, also provision for Bad Debts and Credit Reserves

  Prepares and maintains reports that would be useful in analyzing the accounts being handled.

  Prepares reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, consolidates a full Balance Sheet deck and present them to the Business Unit.

  Loads Hyperion balances to REQIS/REMIS and perform validations of variances and gaps

  Provides financial support in forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget

  Assist in the preparation of various audit requirements.

  Ensures that interfaces from subsystems to Peoplesoft are in balance and are posted to Peoplesoft. Work with IT to resolve problems

  Have a full understanding of the systems used and participate in implementation of new applications, modules, systems upgrades and user acceptance testing.

  Liaise with Business Units, Business Controllers, Business partners, Operations. First point of contact

  Ownership of the daily queries relating to transactional overhead activity and analysis of previously prepared month-end results.

  Take a proactive approach in resolving issues encountered.

  Maintain strong internal controls by having a full understanding of the Revenue, COS & Inventory processes, and ensure that accounting policies and procedures are adhered to.

  General Profile:

  Qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree

  2-4 years of relevant experience

  Good communication skills
