Function: Assists in preparation of underlying data for financial reports to senior management, the Board of Directors, shareholders, and regulatory agencies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in the preparation of tax returns, financial statements, and other reports for internal/external purposes.
Analyzes assigned general ledger account balances, trends and activity; identifies and reports unusual balances, fluctuations, or divergence from GAAP and accounting related Corporate Policies.
Processes accruals, prepares adjusting entries, and performs related account reconcilements.
Assists in month-end closings.
Assists in the design, development and implementation of new systems, procedures or policies.
Provides support to financial staff supervisors in the preparation of reports and analysis of financial implications relating to business decisions.
Assists in providing technical support to other departments for special projects/conversions.
Assists in the preparation and maintenance/updating of procedures relating to assigned areas of responsibility.
Utilizes computer equipment on a regular basis to research and analyze financial data.
Interacts with personnel of other departments to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting.
Maintains a good working relationship with bank employees in other departments. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, as well as motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn, the organization.
Assumes additional responsibilities as required.
Physical Demands
Operates a keypad device: 90% of the day; operates office equipment: 5% of the day. The primary parts of the body involved in performing these tasks are the fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, and elbows. Sitting is required 8 hours per day. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. Use of manual dexterity skills for typing up to 40% of the business day. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18"-20", distance vision and depth perception for computer work.
