Description Robert Half has an opening for an Accounting Clerk, whose main responsibility will include providing accounting support to accounting supervisors and other managers within the department. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / contract position based in the Aurora, Colorado area.

　　Major responsibilities

　　Circulate financial information to journals and ledgers

　　General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

　　Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a number of sources

　　Collaborate with Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, process daily invoices/credit, and help with collection of past due balance

　　Assist Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

　　Mend discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

　　Group documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes Requirements - Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds

　　Adeptness in Freight Claims

　　Demonstrated knowledge of Invoice Processing

　　Foundational knowledge in Freight Carriers

　　Strong familiarity with Freight Bill

　　Knowledge of data entry

　　Freight Charges experience highly desired

　　Comprehensive knowledge of billing

　　AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

　　Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus
