D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for anAccountantfor their Accounting Department. The right candidate will be responsible for applyingprinciples of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Assists in maintaining budgets and projected costs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Review job costs for budget variances, cost code errors, dollar amount errors on invoices, etc.

Review Gross Profit Margins of each home

Review SGA expenses

Month-end General Ledger reconciliations

Prepare and calculate monthly Sales Tax Returns

Prepare Account Analysis and Journal Entries

Cash receipts

Obtain approval of invoices and input into system in timely manner

Assist vendors with any questions

Balance petty cash account at month-end

Education and/or Experience* ***Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Accounting from four-year college or university; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
