　　D.R. Horton, Inc.is currently looking for an *Accountant-Senior* in the Accounting Department. The right candidate will perform various accounting or finance functions with limited supervision by being able to identify issues, research, develop solutions and implement such solutions. Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Assist in maintaining budgets and projected costs.

　　Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

　　Assist in the preparation of the company’s financial statementsAnalyze and assist in the implementation of new accounting standardsConduct monthly close procedures and ensure that deadlines are metPrepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliationsApply GAAP to a variety of business transactionsPerform account analysis and reconciliation for significant balance sheet accountsReview and analyze financial statementsPrepare journal entries as neededOther ad hoc analyses, reports, and projects as needed by division managementConducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyEducation and/or Experience

　　Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a four-year college or universityFour to six years of related experience and/or trainingAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applicationsProficiency with MS Office and emailPreferred Qualifications
