  What the day will look like

  The Aon Charleston, South Carolina office is seeking an Accountant who will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting of a portfolio of Captive insurance companies, primarily located in the Southeast of the US.

  The Accountant will collaborate closely with a broader team of professionals ensuring all the compliance, finance and accounting requirements are met.

  Preparing the financial statements for a portfolio of diverse accounts

  Preparing regulatory filings and premium tax returns

  Preparing supporting materials for annual Board meetings

  Reconciling loss and investment report data

  Oversee cash management for assigned portfolio

  Support and collate key financial information for captive audits/examinations

  Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reports and regulatory filings

  Experience in preparing financial statements with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or related experiences is essential

  Proven experience managing several projects simultaneously

  Prior captive insurance experience beneficial but not required

  Bachelor of Accounting/Finance/Business Administration degree or equivalent experience

  Preferred to have accounting/business experience

  This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.

The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
