JOB SUMMARY
As an Applications Engineer I at Marki Microwave you will be part of a highly skilled team supporting Marki customers in designing state of the art microwave systems. You will be responsible for generating and communicating technical information about our products with customers directly and through publications. The new product introduction responsibility includes entering and managing product data in our database to create datasheets. The sustaining activities involve technical solutions performing measurements and communicating results to customers to solve complex technical issues.
This role is ideal for someone looking to further their technical knowledge and expertise in high frequency RF component engineering through a hands-on approach in a fast-paced, dynamic development environment. This position reports to the VP of Applications Engineering.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate with the Design, Product engineering, CAD, and reliability engineering teams to gather product performance, reliability, and mechanical data for customer useOwn datasheets displayed on the Marki websiteUnderstand the theory behind RF/Microwave testing and know how to run component level tests including but not limited to S-parameters, Noise Figure/Temperature, Conversion Loss, Power Compression, Harmonic Generation, Intermodulation Distortion, Spur Generation, and Transient Response Time.Generate test data for all datasheet parameters as well as specific customer requested measurements covering DC to >125GHz.Troubleshoot test and measurement issues including equipment setup, calibration and test conditions to confirm that testing is performed accurately. Creatively solve characterization problems with systematic solutions.Create and maintain advanced measurement setups such as phase noise, RF power handling, temperature varying, and time domain measurements.Manage priorities and communicate regularly with VP of Applications Engineering on progress and challenges.Promote an ethics-based business culture in the organization.REQUIREMENTS
