Description Robert Half is searching for a talented entry-level Accountant for a role in the Legal industry. Your duties in this position will include entering data, reviewing financial statements, and creating and manipulating Excel spreadsheets. You will report to the Accounting Manager and be part of a dynamic team with an opportunity for career growth. You could thrive in this position if you love Excel, maintain a positive attitude, and are open to an entry-level accounting position. This is a short-term contract / temporary to hire entry-level Accountant role based in New York, New York.

　　Key responsibilities

　　Reconciling and leveling general ledger accounts

　　Assisting with full cycle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes

　　Investigating and correcting account discrepancies

　　Input data

　　Assisting with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audit

　　Executing other related duties and partaking in special projects as assigned

　　Make monthly journal entries Requirements - 1 year of accounting experience

　　Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects

　　Applicants with an AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business are recommended for this position

　　High-level understanding of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred

　　Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

　　Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired

　　Expertise in data entry

　　Well-founded grasp of Ad Hoc Reporting

　　Practical knowledge of Process Vendor Invoices

　　General familiarity with Perform Ad Hoc Financial

　　Cash reconciliations experience highly desired

　　Earlier work involving Aderant

　　Proven knowledge of Ad Hoc Analysis

　　Billing experience

　　Strong familiarity with bank reconciliations

　　Quality experience with Enter Vendor Invoices

　　Wide ranging experience with Vendor Invoices

　　Accounts Payable (AP) experience
