Statutory Accountant – Lotteries: For the Lotteries division of the company, we are looking for an experienced statutory accountant to manage Lottery operational Legal entities across Europe.
Responsibilities
Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close for multiple legal entities.
Provide timely reports to multiple stakeholders monthly.
Responsible for preparation of multiple annual financial statements and having the statutory audits completed.
Responsible for the direct and indirect tax compliance of the various entities.
Responsible for accurate and efficient financial analysis and reporting for the Lottery Division.
Responsible directly for accounts payables, accounts receivable and general ledger activities for the Lotteries operational, holding entities along with outsource service partner.
Oversee a team of accountants in an outsource accounting environment covering accounts receivable, accounts payables, general ledger, and collections to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met for multiple operational lottery legal entities.
Assess and monitor compliance with corporate policies and internal controls.
Supports budget and forecasting activities.
Maintain the banking and treasury relationships.
Coordinate with corporate accounting/ sales for proper recognition of revenue, cost of sales, inventory, and assets
Advises regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the legal entities.
Drive special projects and workflow process improvements.
Qualifications
Good Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
Strong result orientation and pro-activity with a high degree of customer orientation
Strong financial controlling and general ledger accounting skills
Advanced MS Office skills, especially MS Excel
Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills to synthesize complex data and develop innovative solutions
University degree in Business Administration / Finance / Controlling /Economics.
Preferable if pursuing further education in advanced accounting like ACCA/ACA/RA/CPA.
2-4 years of work experience
