We are looking for an Accountant to join our team in the Plantation, FL area. Bring your skills to Bureau Veritas. You will be part of a highly qualified team.
Main responsibilities:
Receive throughout the month, the I/C invoices sent to us for re-bills of Rent (Co.140), Medical, Accounting, Shared Services. & Training & Salaries rebills (other I/Cs) and Code them with the account numbers breakdown Allocations, get approvals & send to Interco A/P for payment
Handle/Issue the Inter-company invoices for accounts receivables for the rebill of personnel charges, benefits, training & misc. expenses; Issue on a monthly basis the necessary invoices to re-bill to other inter-companies for these charges.
Handle emails from other departments & other BV Companies regarding all types of accounting related inquiries & research them or forward to proper person, and reply back with findings/resolutions.
Receive & take care of emails on a daily basis from staff & co-workers with inquiries & researches, resolve and reply back or forward to proper person.
Handle any additional request received from Management for Analyses, Researches or any Additional Information they requests as needed
Prepare End of Month Accrual Journal Entries for SM2 WIP (revenues) (Invoices not issued yet) and Costs not received yet.
Review prepaid account and prepare Journal Entries to re-class expenses on a monthly basis
Review Accrual accounts on a monthly basis and prepare accruals JEs as needed.
End of Month P&L accounts review and preparing adjusting, re-class & Accrual journal entries as needed.
Receive inquiries about P&L variances from management & research to provide explanations.
Receive and handle emails from operations staff & surveyors to research if payments for invoices have been received & posted.
Handle Franchise Fees invoices from head office issued to the US and Canada, code them, get approvals & send to GSSC for payments.
End of Year Audits- receive request from Auditors & research & provide requested information and schedules for both companies US and Canada.
Assist with End of Year closing.
Technical/Professional Qualifications/Requirements:
3/5 years of experience in the field
Accounting degree essential
Full-cycle accounting experience essential
International accounting experience a plus
Advanced/Intermediate computer and Microsoft (Excel and Word) skills a must
Strong organizational skills
Strong time management skills
