Responsibilities

This position is responsible for marketing the Amerinet/Health Resource Services purchasing program and other administrative programs to a defined territory/account base using as a primary mode of service, telephone, computer and occasional on-site visits to generate a positive revenue stream for Virginia Mason.

Responsibilities include:

Manage territory employing the joint service model between outside and inside sales to grow sales/revenue.

· Co-develop yearly business plan for targeting and increasing contract utilization for existing members.

· Sell Amerinet/Health Resource Services purchasing program within assigned accounts (aka territory).

· Develop working relationships with distribution partners to support territory growth.

· Implement tactical initiatives and strategy to increase sales and contract utilization with existing members.

· Retain, grow and manage existing member/customer base through collaborative activities with supplier, distribution partners, and HRS staff to ensure sales goals are achieved.

· Provide superior customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Develop selling skills to effectively and productively service members.

· Participate in HRS team calls, educational web casts, and review Amerinet program updates to keep current with products, contracts and services.

· Develop relationships with designated Amerinet and HRS Clinical Specialists to understand and promote contracts

· Develop a thorough knowledge of various Amerinet databases, including CRM, member resources, and Amerinet@Work to effectively service members

· Effectively execute on-boarding process

· Prioritize which issues require escalation to next level

· Utilize Inquisit’s on demand professional development educational series to further enhance or develop professional skills.

· Researches and utilizes appropriate resources for problem-solving

· Maximizes selling opportunities by identifying opportunities and promoting cost-saving solutions

Organize administrative duties to increase productivity.

· Utilize CRM daily as a time management tool

· Prepare designated reports as required by HRS management and members

Monitor the sales revenue budget within a defined territory to achieve budgeted growth.

· Achieve the annual sales/revenue budget in a defined territory by analyzing and reviewing member purchases through Amerinet and HRS.

· Monitor purchasing data and conduct quarterly business reviews identifying opportunities and verifying sales reporting to increase sales and customer satisfaction.

· Monitor all non-reporting issues with appropriate follow-up to ensure accuracy of sales reported

· Generates and pre-populates LOCs and GDFs resulting from Roadmap/Opportunity analysis studies to drive utilization and increase sales reporting/revenue

· Conducts mini cost studies/opportunity reports

· Creates customized spreadsheets and prepares various reports for members for analysis of contract utilization, variances within sales reporting, tier levels and signed commitment forms

Qualifications

This position requires a 4 year college degree in business, marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience/knowledge. A minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare, purchasing or sales industry is preferred.

Required skills and attributes are a strong emphasis on service selling and customer service; excellent interpersonal, analytical, customer service, organizational, time management skills; listening and leadership skills; presentation skills; a self-starter with the ability to work independently; goal and detail oriented; and excellent research skills, tenacity and the ability to “think on your feet.”

Preferred skills and attributes are computer proficiency, the ability to work professionally and effectively with vendors; the ability to take initiative, prioritize and competently complete projects with overlapping deadlines; knowledge of and ability to apply commonly accepted rules of grammar, spelling and punctuation to compose written materials to meet purpose and the intended audience; an ability to manage multiple and diverse projects simultaneously; and an ability to position solutions by thinking “out of the box” and creating opportunity where none may appear to exist.

Must develop an in-depth knowledge of Amerinet contracts, programs and services.

Occasional daily/overnight travel required.

A general knowledge of supply chain principles and a working knowledge of health care products preferred.
