Robert Half has partnered with a local company to find an Account Manager to join their team. This Account Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and growing key client relationships at the national level. We are seeking a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, and the ability to work cross functionally among different divisions of the company, to drive growth. This Account Manager opening requires working onsite in Des Moines, IA and is available on a contract-to-hire/temporary-to-hire basis through Robert Half.
ACCOUNT MANAGER ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Develop and implement strategic plans for national account growth.
Meet and exceed revenue targets through effective management of national account portfolios.
Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to maximize account value.
Conduct in-depth analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Monitor daily sales and inventory.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
Coordinate the selection, item setup, and distribution of products to customer base.
Develop and maintain relationships with customers.
Develop new sales opportunities through promotional opportunities.
Address and resolve issues between company and its customers in the areas of accounts receivable, distribution, inventory control, promotions, and sales forecasting.
Work closely with merchandising, distribution, shipping, inventory, and other operations teams to align strategies and deliver comprehensive solutions to national accounts.
Provide input on product/service enhancements based on client feedback and market demands.
Oversee operational aspects related to the delivery of products/services to national accounts.
Monitor and optimize operational processes, including maintaining item life cycle information, to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
2-3+ Years of prior retail experience with merchandising, operations or management experience required.
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field desired.
Proficient / Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word, Excel.
PREFRRED SKILLS:
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
Ability to forecast problems and identify possible solutions
Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization and external customers and vendors.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines.
