Overview
JOB PURPOSE:
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Business Development, the Sales Specialist will be responsible for identifying and executing opportunities for our branded and private label products to meet customer needs. Working closely with Sales, Analytics, and Sourcing, conduct value analyses for vendor alternatives and utilization and identify opportunities for product positioning. Included in these functions will be a full range of duties, including but not limited to the following:
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Working with Sourcing and GPO Strategic Accounts, assists existing supply base develop business plans to increase market penetration within GPO members.
• Working with Sales, develop and set revenue targets for new product and private label opportunities.
• Meet or exceed agreed revenue targets for new products and private label products
• Identify and bring forward Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within the dental industry for potential new products and workflows to support GPO member needs
• Review current product utilization to identify potential private label opportunities to meet existing and/or unexpressed member need.
• Create sales opportunities by collaborating with Sevaredent Leadership to identify targeted sales opportunities from amongst existing and prospective Sevaredent members.
• Attend industry meetings to identify and further the sales process for products and services.
• Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports as required by their Manager.
• Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
• Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers, often including product demos and presentations
• Up to 50% travel required
Qualifications
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• 3 to 5 years of field sales within the dental industry
• Prior experience working within the dental supply industry is highly desirable
• Prior experience working with dental laboratories and DSO’s is highly desirable
• Ability to communicate with C-level management
• Problem resolution and negotiation skills
• Working knowledge of Customer Relatrionship Management (CRM) tools
