The University of Chicago\'s Department of Radiology is expanding andsearching for full-time faculty members at any rank. Appointees willhave responsibilities in all aspects of abdominal imaging includinginterpretation of CT, MRI, US, performance of abdomen/pelvis fluoroscopyand image guided biopsies.
As full-time faculty members, the appointees will contribute to patientcare, medical education, and scholarship, and join a vibrant anddistinguished community of faculty colleagues and learners at UChicagoMedicine, the Biological Sciences Division, the Pritzker School ofMedicine, the University of Chicago and its affiliates. The appointeesalso participate in a variety of interdisciplinary conferences, in orderto build collaborative relationships across campus. Other duties willinclude training and supervision of medical students, residents, andfellows. There are numerous opportunities for collaboration availablewithin the University and with community partners. Academic rank andcompensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) aredependent upon qualifications.
The Department of Radiology includes more than 80 full-time facultymembers, clinical associates, and postdoctoral researchers. In additionto teaching medical students, residents and fellows, our faculty conductcutting-edge translational and clinical research. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have amedical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medicallicensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible inRadiology, and 4) have completed a Fellowship in Abdominal Imaging orhave equivalent experience.
