Overview & Responsibilities

　　We currently have an opening for a control room Technical Director at CBS News Streaming! Providing technical support for all national CBS News Streaming live and recorded programming is the primary responsibility of this single-operating position. Assigned duties include daily on-air production execution of CBS News Stream programming. It is the operator's responsibility to prepare the broadcast through automated protocols (ELC coding by Sony) and technical infrastructure (ELC testing, Viz Director, and Multiplay) for the broadcast.

　　The Technical Director assumes the lead operator position in the control room and is responsible for the technical execution of the show. This position will assist shows in video shading, color-correcting remotes, ELC coding, and Ross Tria playback. The right person must be willing to work a very adaptable work schedule that may include early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays, sometimes on short notice as breaking news and planned coverage requires. This is NOT negotiable.

　　Basic Qualifications

　　3-5 years as a newscast director and/or technical director.

　　Control Room Automation experience is required, including Sony ELC, Ross OverDrive, or equivalent control room automation technology.

　　Knowledge of video and audio servers, graphics systems, audio consoles, and robotic cameras is required.

　　Excellent computer skills with a high level of the ENPS production system required.

　　Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment.

　　Must be a self-starter with excellent organizational skills.

　　Strong work ethic, positive outlook, and leadership qualities with the ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities.

　　Hiring Salary Range: $61.18 - 61.18.

　　The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
