Description:
There are 4 CNC Machinist openings on 2nd Shift - Second 2:45pm - 11pm M-F,. Three of the four openings are in the lathe department. searching for a CNC Machinists to set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and CNC Machining Centers to ready machines to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts. May assign personnel to various duties. All shift are open as of now minimal overtime required. They must be able to set up the machine from scratch and have experience doing fixture changes and basic preventative maintenance. This is more of an actual machinist but not a programmer.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates CNC machines to produce production parts and assemblies
Operates manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathes
Positions parts in specified locations using a variety of fastening devices
Operates hand-held tools, electrical tools, and/or pneumatic tools
Operates lift equipment as needed
Uses precision measuring tools as required
Ability to recognize various material types used in department and adjust equipment if needed
Ability to recognize worn tooling and change in machine as required
Verifies accuracy of completed product or batch inspections
Reports defective materials, discrepancies, process malfunctions or completed products that are not in compliance with company and/or customer specifications to the Department Lead
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
Completes all necessary paperwork as required, including in process or carbon copy production sheets
