　　I. NATURE OF POSITION:A. The High School Coach shall be directly responsible to the building principal, but will work through the Activities Director in carrying out his/her assignments.B. The High School Coach shall help each participating student achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline, sportsmanship, teamwork, physical development, and knowledge of the game.II. TYPICAL DUTIES:A. Work with the Activities Director in scheduling practices and contests.B. Coach individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved.III. PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:A. Have a specialized preparation emphasizing the coaching of the respective sport.B. Have a fundamental knowledge of the care and prevention of athletic injuries and training programs.C. Hold a current Standard First Aid Card.For complete job description visit libbyschools.org
