POSITION SUMMARY:The Environmental Health & Safety Intern is "hosted" by the Safety Department at one of our manufacturing/distribution facilities. This is a 12-week summer internship. Please note that we do not provide housing.Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Safety Manager with:Implementing safety related programs at the siteEmployee trainingCoordination of safety and occupational health projectsPromoting safe actions throughout the organizationAnalyzing accident and incident recordsSpecial projects as identified by the Safety ManagerBasic Qualifications:Must be at least 18 years of ageMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the futureMust be currently enrolled inan accredited four-year college or university at the time of the internshipMust have sophomore, junior or senior class standingMust have a minimum GPA of 2.8Must be willing to relocate if in the future considered for a Trainee positionMust have experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Power PointPreferred Qualifications:Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health, or related majorsPrevious Internship, Co-op or work experience in a related fieldPrevious experience as a Sherwin-Williams Intern or Co-opPrevious internship or co-op experience in the Sherwin-Williams Global Supply Chain DivisionLeadership experience as demonstrated by your involvement in extracurricular activities on campus or in the communityStrong communication skills both verbal and writtenProblem solving abilityOrganizational and time management skillsProject Management skillsSherwin-Williams is proud to be an Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, Inclusion and Diversity Supportive Employer.
