Safely operate, repair, rebuild and performmaintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks andequipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operatesafely Pay: Up to \$30/hr (Dependent on EXP) Key Responsibilities:Diagnose and repair operational difficulties with heavy duty dieseltrucks and equipment. Maintain and repair heavy diesel, CNG, gas andelectrically operated equipment and vehicles. Complete reports, workorders, order parts and perform other administrative duties as requireddaily. Plan and schedule repairs in M5 planner and procure all parts forsuccessful plan. Assist in the review of mechanical write-ups onequipment and coordinate repair schedule. Ensure safe working conditionsand compliance with all safety regulations. Utilize a variety of powerand hand tools and equipment. Possess, provide and maintain toolsnecessary to perform tasks related to maintenance on heavy/hydraulicequipment. Maintain a clean work area. Conform in all respects withapplicable federal, state/provincial and local laws, regulations,ordinances and other orders and to all company policies, procedures anddirectives from supervisors. Assist in the training and orientation ofnew employees. Maintain a working knowledge of and keep up with thelatest technology through the use of technical manuals and attendance oftechnical training seminars and testing. Perform other duties andresponsibilities as required or requested by management. Requirements:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); technical diplomadesired. Minimum of one (1) year experience as a diesel mechanicExperience using diagnostic software a plus Must be computer literate,have the ability to be trained on software systems and the willingnessto learn. Must be able to meet relevant criteria for safety sensitivefunctions according to Company standards Knowledge, Skills andAbilities: Ability to communicate effectively with others. Demonstrateability to follow detailed instructions, work independently and maintainaccurate records. Ability to understand and effectively use repair andparts manuals written in English. Ability to operate any vehicle orequipment necessary to perform job. Possess physical ability to performall aspects of job. Physical/Mental Demands: Ability to stand, sit,walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk,hear, climb, balance, taste, and smell. Continuous concentrated mentaland visual attention required. Visual Requirements: include closevision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depthperception, and ability to adjust focus. Frequent physical effortincluding handling tools and equipment required. Frequentlylift/push/pull up to 100 pounds. Working Conditions: Frequently exposedto loud noise, humidity, hot and cold weather conditions, movingmechanical parts, vibration, toxic and caustic chemicals, fumes andairborne particles.
