The Opportunity: *Skagit Valley College (SVC) is seeking qualified equity-minded applicants for full-time, tenure track faculty positions in the Human Services program on the Mount Vernon campus. The successful candidate, who has obtained mastery and demonstrates leadership in the Human Services field, will demonstrate exceptional classroom skills, enthusiasm for the subject matter, and an inclusive and equity-driven approach to teaching and learning. SVC seeks teacher-scholars whose activities complement and inform their teaching. SVC Human Services faculty teach an equivalent of 15-18 contact hours/week per quarter (approximately 3-4 classes) and participate in College service and student advising. *This position is expected to begin in Fall Quarter, September 2024. This position is primarily based at the Mount Vernon Campus; however, instructors may be called upon to teach at the Whidbey Island Campus located in Oak Harbor, or to teach students via online instruction.
