JOB REQUIREMENTS: Work Experience Coordinator - WORKE001629DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Work Experience Coordinator JobResponsibilities: * Ensure that Work Experience opportunities areinnovative, based heavily on labor market demand, and focus on careeradvancement for high growth industries for Milwaukee County andsurrounding communities in both the private and public sector. * Marketand promote various Work experience Opportunities to prospectiveemployers, in both the public and private sector, consider theirestablishment as potential worksites, and educate employers on thevarious incentives offered through direct hire of eligible job seekers.* Ensure each employer/worksite has been properly designated with thetier type (I, II or III); ensure special accommodations are made forthose participants with intensive service needs. * Identify barriers toparticipation, assist participants with obtaining documentation ofbarriers, and help participants to overcome challenges through guidance,counseling, and access to services both inside and outside theorganization. * Assist Financial Employment Planners (FEP) to trackparticipants\' progress throughout the duration of the program andensure participation in assigned activities by monitoring attendanceweekly, entering nonparticipation timely, detailed case comments, andapplying payment reductions per policy. * Conduct orientations to newemployers/worksites and their site supervisors about Work Experience,including how to comply with documentation and reporting requirements.* Document and keep updated all worksite information, including slotopenings, closings, and other site-related changes in CWW/WWP and/orUMOS\' internal tracking system, and maintain hard file information asrequired by agency. * Conduct job seeker orientations and ensure thatjob seeker assignment is based on a customized Employability Plan withintended outcomes and career pathway designation. * Develop and executeworksite agreements for Work Experience sites, including thoseidentified by job seeker, ensure that a job description is provided eachwork experience slot, and each site has a site supervisor designation.* Ensure that worksites identified by job seekers conform to allrequirements per program/funding source mandates. Monitor the submissionof attendance information to ensure all worksite attendance is accountedfor, and forward to appropriate * staff for timely non-participationentry. * Assist the Employment Services Supervisor in developingprogrammatic goals, objectives and outcomes resulting from WorkExperience participation. * Assist in monitoring progress onestablished goals and/or objectives and proactively assess and provideprogrammatic updates. * Work with designated quality assurance staff tomonitor worksites and ensure assignments conform to the assigned jobdescription, that site-specific orientations have been conducted,required documentation has occurred, and site requirements are beingmet. * Assist in conducting worksite and job seeker evaluations and aspart of the continuous program improvement process and report results tosupervisor. * Prepare reports summarizing program data, highlightingjob seeker and employer success stories, as requested. * Act as liaisonbetween UMOS and the Wisconsin Department of Children and Familiesregarding Work Experience issues and provide clarification to worksites,as needed.
