Humana is seeking a Utilization Management (UM) Coordinator to join the Wisconsin Medicaid Market (iCare) team. Join this dedicated team and lead change in how health care for the underserved in Wisconsin is managed.

We need a pro-active, flexible and adaptive person who can multitask and stay organized in a fast -paced environment. Excellent customer service skills are a must and being very adaptable is necessary. This role requires you to work independently between the hours of 8:30-5pm CST and there is very little down time in this role. This is a great opportunity for anyone who thrives in being pulled in multiple directions and can roll up their sleeves and rise to the challenges! Training will be provided. In this role you will:

Process and document all incoming inpatient and outpatient prior authorization requests as outlined by Humana policies and procedures.

Contact providers via phone or fax to request additional information or clarification as needed per established process.

Communicate effectively with customers/providers, both internally and externally, regarding the status of PA requests. Take phone calls from providers regarding status of PAs.

Enter PA requests into the prior authorization database (TruCare), prepare documentation, and tasks to the appropriate staff member for clinical review.

Required Qualifications

One (1) year of experience providing customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Experience working in Microsoft Office software applications, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Experience answering phone calls.

Reside within the State of WI

Available to work Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm CST

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in prior authorization or utilization management.

Experience working in a managed health care setting or health insurance environment.

Familiar with ICD10 and HCPCS/CPT Codes

Workstyle: Home. Home workstyle is defined as remote but will use Humana office space on an as needed basis for collaboration and other face-to-face needs.

Typical Work Days/Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Central Standard Time (CST)

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
