About Tutor/Mentor (GEARUP-AVID)

　　Selected candidates will work at assigned junior high or high schools within Ogden City school district as tutors for participants in the GEAR UP & AVID program. School placement will be determined by tutors class schedules and program needs.Services tutors provide for students include modeling learning techniques to achieve academic success,providing basic college awareness mentoring,and assisting with organizational skills.**This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time,the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.
