The Turbomachinery Development Engineer will support our global development team. This role will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects focused on developing turbomachinery based decarbonization technologies.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Design and analysis of turbomachinery components and systems from concept definition through detailed design
Mechanical modeling of components and assemblies utilizing Siemens NX CAD
Structural and thermal analysis of components and systems utilizing ANSYS
Support turbomachinery testing and data analysis
Actively contribute to small, focused design teams to support technology and product development project objectives
Work as part of a talented, focused group to develop new technologies and solutions for a changing world energy market
Learn from a variety of experiences across the many different engineering disciplines that contribute to the design of turbomachinery solutions
What You Bring
Bachelor or Master of Science in Engineering field (Mechanical preferred)
2+ years experience in turbomachinery mechanical design and analysis. Those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level.
Experience with mechanical design and CAD
Knowledge of finite element analysis with experience using ANSYS for static, dynamic and modal structural analysis
Experience with turbomachinery testing, instrumentation and test data analysis
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
