About Transportation Specialist , Amazon Shipping

  Description

  Amazon is looking for a motivated individual for the profile of Transportation Specialist for its Ship with Amazon Program team.

  In this role, you will:

  a. Manage/handle pickup operational issues for Shippers and aggregators being launched.

  b. Work with key stake holders across various functions to identify defects and define solutions.

  c. Setup and manage end-to-end operational, pickups performance measurement and customer satisfaction related processes (direct shippers and Shipper aggregators) with whom Ship with amazon is tied up.

  d. Monitor key metrics on the pickup program and work with all involved stakeholder teams to drive necessary action with field teams, business, finance, sales and leadership teams, to achieve goals. Manage Daily/weekly FDPS performance, build mechanisms to detect and drive down defects and work on continuous improvements for all processes.

  e. Continuous Improvements; proactively identify and implement operational enhancements that meet business requirements.

  Key job responsibilities

  Communication with internal customers (LM,MM, Sales Team, Shippers, NOC, Trans Program, WW team). Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create compelling positioning / messaging strategy and present complex information clearly and concisely. High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision.

  Strong analytical, mediation and problem resolution skills. Demonstrated leadership with a bias towards action, supporting a culture of ownership and learning. Skilled in collaborative management environment, clear formal and informal communication with members of the remote and local management teams. Strong understanding of process improvement techniques

  A day in the life

  In this role, the candidate will work with business and operations team to solve customer/shipper escalations, work on SLA improvement, initiate programs – all in an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity. A successful candidate must show significant ownership on customer issues and proactively initiate SOPs and process changes as required. He/she will be passionate about their work, detail-oriented, and have excellent problem-solving abilities.   be a passionate advocate of customer to other stakeholders. He/she will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems

  Basic Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics

  Experience with Excel
