  Tiktok Shop is a fast-growing global E-commerce platform attached to one of the world's most popular entertainment apps. There are many legal, regulatory and reputational risks that our business faces in the course of our Southeast Asian (SEA) operations.

  We are therefore looking for a Senior Risk Manager to (i) work with our legal, PR/GR and policy teams to understand the risks we face as an E-Commerce business in SEA, including a deep understanding of our legal obligations and how regulators, courts and the market as a whole interpret these obligations; (ii) help colleagues in our business teams to make appropriate and accountable risk decisions with a clear audit trail; and (iii) ensure that the overall risk profile of the business is visible, transparent to leadership and in line with the proper risk appetite from time to time.

  Responsibilities

  Understand the risks we face as an E-Commerce business

  - Quickly understand the regulatory framework and obligations of our E-Commerce business and the reason for these obligations, as well as potential areas of reputational or policy risk.

  - Know how to keep up to date. Develop a framework for tracking and updating applicable risks.

  - Understand market practice in SEA; know who the main market participants are and how they manage their risk profile.

  Help colleagues in our business teams to make appropriate and accountable risk decisions

  - Quickly understand our business lines; who the teams are and what they do.

  - Review proposed business actions (including business, marketing and product requests, external communications etc) and the risk advice provided by specialist teams, and provide risk acceptance recommendations to business in the light of that advice.

  - Make sure every risk acceptance decision has a clear and appropriate owner and is properly recorded.

  Ensure that the overall risk profile of the business is visible, transparent to leadership and in line with the proper risk appetite from time to time.

  - Maintain an up to date and accurate register of the risks faced by our business in the SEA region.

  - Summarize the risk profile of the business in a useful and transparent way.

  - Call out any risks that are inconsistent with the business's risk appetite, including second-order or aggregated risks.

  Qualifications

  1. Bachelor degree or above, engaged in e-commerce compliance and or similar industry for more than 5 years.

  2. Have excellent project management ability and excellent organization and coordination, overall planning and execution.

  3. Familiar with content-based e-commerce, have a certain understanding of the control rules and laws of the e-commerce industry, have accumulated and formed personal opinions, if the profession itself is a compliance direction, it is a plus.

  4. Proactive, patient and meticulous, strong sense of responsibility, full of teamwork spirit, comprehensive and systematic analysis and control ability, and good at cross function communication.

  5. Experience in handling areas relating to privacy is highly desirable.

  6. Explain using concrete examples and data where possible.

  7. Be comfortable asking questions immediately if there is anything you do not understand.

  8. Be comfortable working independently and challenging senior colleagues if needed.
