  Purpose

  The Technician I - Gas Customer Field Service is responsible for customer service field activities and applicable distribution systems and facilities. Performs such work in accordance with Company, regulatory and safety procedures

  Accountabilities

  Performs Reads of residential, commercial and industrial gas meters. Records readings for billing purposes.

  Installing, Maintain, Replacing and Remove meters and regulators

  Replacing service valves, Minor appliance repair and adjustments

  Residential and small commercial service activation

  Observes and reports all abnormal, dangerous and/or damaged conditions pertaining to gas meters and adjacent areas.

  Asset Locate and Damage Prevention duties as assigned.

  Will be required to obtain and maintain minimum Operator Qualifications (OQs) and classroom training for position. Complete all safety related training

  Education and Experience

  High School / GED

  Prior Utility experience preferred in Meter Services, E/M Troubleshooting, C&M, Operations, Damage Prevention, or related

  Requires valid driver’s license in accordance with Company standards
