About Technical Lead, Pixel Creative

  Minimum qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

  8 years of experience in software development with programming and debugging (e.g., Python, Java, etc.).

  Experience with software design and implementation.

  Preferred qualifications:

  Experience in mobile software engineering development and domain knowledge of Android.

  Ability to communicate and collaborate with cross-functional area leaders (e.g., PM, UX).

  Ability to build and develop a team.

  Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and drive projects.

  The mission of this team is to build high quality, innovative, relevant and differentiating applications, experiences, and solutions for Pixel. As a Technical Lead, you will play a critical role in the Pixel software for a delightful user experience. You will be responsible for building innovative and differentiating features in Pixel software with state-of-the-art technologies, specializing in Pixel customization.

  In this role, you will work with teams across multiple regions (e.g., USA/APAC) on software development, feature tuning, infra/tooling, product integration, and more. You will be responsible for defining short-term and long-term team goals, strategy and roadmap on collaboration with Android and Research teams, and drive execution with cross-functional team efforts with Product Manager (PM) and UX.

  The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s software and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

  Lead innovative software engineering efforts, architect the technical solutions to collaborate with key partners including Android and Research teams.

  Drive discussions with cross-functional teams including Product Manager and UX, and lead the team to push toward our strategic goals.

  Drive scalable and sustainable design and development that solve strategic business objectives.

  Support engineering best practices (e.g., functional testing, performance testing, instrumentation, experiments, etc.).
