ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions.Conduct interviews, screen candidates, and make recommendations for hiring decisions.Oversee the background check process and ensure compliance with gaming licensing requirements.Design and execute a comprehensive onboarding program for new hires.Coordinate the completion of necessary paperwork, orientation sessions, and training.Ensure new employees receive proper introductions, understand company policies, and feel welcomed.Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.Collaborate with department managers to deliver department-specific training initiatives.Evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.Oversee and manage the process of obtaining and maintaining gaming licenses for employees.Ensure compliance with gaming regulations by maintaining accurate records and submitting necessary documentation.Serve as the primary point of contact for gaming regulatory agencies and address any licensing inquiries or issues.Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements.Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the HR Generalist, Seamstress, Wardrobe, and HR Licensing Coordinator.Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and identify training and development needs.Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the HR team.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role preferred.Extensive knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations.Strong understanding of recruitment life cycle, training, and regulatory compliance (gaming).Experience in planning and executing hiring events, college recruitment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. -Must be able to obtain and maintain a Virginia Lottery Gaming License.PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
