Experiences may include university recreation, intercollegiate athletics, community recreation, and non-profit or professional sport entities. Additional opportunities, commensurate with experience, training, and interest, include supervising student internship experiences and interacting with industry partners. The College of Education seeks applicants with a demonstrated knowledge and ability to work effectively with individuals and groups with a variety of identities, cultures, backgrounds, and ideologies in a global environment. Candidates who demonstrate engagement in interdisciplinary work, foster scholarly connections among current faculty, and contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts are especially encouraged to apply.Applicants will be expected to teach up to four courses each semester in the following content areas related to sport: communication, ethics, event and facility management, equity and justice, finance, law, management, marketing, or sociology. The typical contractual load for a career-track teaching assistant professor is approximately 80% teaching, 10% research, and 10% service.The anticipated start date for this position is August 16, 2024.Required Qualifications:• Doctoral degree in Sport Management or a closely related field by the time of hire.
