Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager for our client in the advisory space. This Tax Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all aspects of the clients' tax planning and compliance needs. This leadership position requires a deep understanding of tax regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance:
· Own the preparation and filing of federal and state income tax returns for individuals, trusts, and entities.
· Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax documents to relevant authorities.
· Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve potential tax issues.
Leadership:
· Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
· Complete regular continued education to maintain license and knowledge on tax laws and industry best practices.
Client Relationships:
· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their tax-related concerns and providing proactive advice.
· Act as a trusted advisor on tax matters, offering strategic guidance to enhance clients' financial well-being.
Risk Management:
· Implement and maintain effective internal controls to mitigate tax-related risks.
· Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to enhance risk management processes.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
Significant experience (5+ years) in tax planning and compliance for high-net-worth individuals and entities.
Excellent knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex tax concepts to clients and team members.
