Are you an exceptional Staff Accountant looking to make an impact in your career? We have a start up company looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team.

The right Staff Accountant will be over:

Prepare daily position reporting, including reconciliation of all positions, cash movements and trading activity

Monitor trading activities and process/resolve trade breaks by liaising with third-party service providers, including prime brokers and trading desks

Assist with monitoring and processing corporate actions

Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other reports to summarize financial results for senior management

Assist in the calculation of management and performance fees

Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports

Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the monthly close process for areas, as assigned

Requirements

Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA helpful but not required

Minimum 2 years of experience working in investment/hedge fund accounting or auditing is required
