About Sr. Product Marketing Manager, Amazon Astro

  Description

  The Amazon Astro team is looking for a dynamic marketing professional to lead Go to Market initiatives for Amazon Astro.

  You will work with a cross-functional team that includes product, business intelligence, online merchandising, creative, legal, and PR to develop, manage, and execute go to market activities leading up to launch. This role will continue to build and grow on our success with Amazon Astro.

  The successful candidate will be expected to think and act both strategically and tactically. This person will be responsible for developing the product marketing strategy inputs including product/customer definition, customer messaging, pricing and distribution strategy. They will have extensive online marketing experience, be able to formulate marketing initiatives that are deeply backed by data, and have experience of driving customer growth for a new business. They will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and able to think big while paying careful attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be metrics-driven with strong ownership and focus, with ability to prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly and persuasively.

  Key job responsibilities

  You have experience thinking big and building from scratch the overall strategy, annual goals, key performance indicators, and reporting working cross-functionally across stakeholders

  You are able to distill data from customer feedback, team member inputs, leadership direction, using it to develop device and feature launch, education, and awareness strategies

  You have defined online marketing programs and have worked cross-functionally with internal teams to execute and launch programs to increase awareness and education of new to world products and services

  You have worked with technical and product teams to define prioritization and messaging of key features, value prop, and pricing

  Using customer insights, you identify and evaluate gaps across the user journey and risks to the successful launch of the product, and develop strategic options to mitigate the risks

  You are a self-starter, can juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a dynamic, often ambiguous environment

  You have exceptional analytical skills and enjoy solving problems and crafting solutions outside of the playbook

  You like getting your hands dirty in day-to-day tasks to get things done

  You have strong written and verbal communications skills at a senior leadership level

  We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

  Austin, TX, USA | Seattle, WA, USA

  Basic Qualifications

  7+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  Experience managing growing teams

  Experience working with Excel

  Experience in project or program management

  Experience with marketing or brand strategy

  Demonstrated experience managing projects across functional teams, including engineering, merchandising, design, marketing, and operations

  Bachelor's degree

  Preferred Qualifications

  Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to influence others

  Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results

  Past experience with digital technologies, consumer products, media, and e-commerce

  Both technically deep and business savvy enough to interface with all levels and disciplines within the organization

  MBA

  Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
