The Senior Manager, Project Manager coordinates a team of project managers who support custom media and research services across the Cell Biology business unit within the Biosciences division. This role supports custom media across both the research and cell and gene therapy markets as well as custom research services that support research and development activities with Biotechnology and Pharma clients.
What will you do?
Project management lead over cross-functional teams responsible for coordination of efforts across manufacturing, quality, regulatory, operations, and logistics partners to ensure on time delivery of custom projects to a global customer base within a matrixed organization.Partner with product management, marketing and commercial teams to execute customs strategy and support demand generation activities.Serve as a customer advocate throughout the entire order process. Troubleshoot, escalate and resolve issues and risks jeopardizing customer commitments.Develop organizational and operational strategies within the Project Management team to streamline processes and support long-term growth.Represent the business and support commercial teams in customer facing conversations.Support strategy development for custom services.Analyze, interpret, and report out to executive leadership regularly on business performance and forecasts.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Requires a bachelor's degree in life sciences. Advanced degree(s) a plus.8+ years of relevant project management experience.3+ years supervisory/leadership experience; previous experience leading other supervisors is a plus.Experience in cell culture media and/or solutions for the cell therapy market a plus.Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams.Proven track record of creating a world class customer experience.Experienced in delivering customer facing/sales presentations.Broad technical understanding consistent with relevant life sciences portfolios including, previous experience with Thermo Fisher Scientific's products in this space is desired. Ability to balance team workload management with project volumes and delivery timelines.Ability to develop self and employees skills.Previous success relationship building skills in a multidisciplinary, multinational, multicultural environment.Requires good judgment and lateral thinking to develop solutions to problemsExuding communication proficiency with diverse audiences is imperative to the success of this position.Excellent skills in persuading, inspiring, developing, and motivating at all levels of the organization are required.
