The Senior Manager, Global Brand Commercialization Licensing supports the strategic commercialization planning and implementation, partnering with business leads and content owners and with the goal of driving consumer engagement and maximizing brand value. As an integral member of the Consumer Products Commercialization organization with a focus on Lucasfilm / Star Wars, strong knowledge of the brand and fanbase is critical to success in the role, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills.

This role reports to the Director, Global Brand Commercialization.

This is a Full Time position.

What You Will Do:

Build and execute global strategic franchise plan to drive business results, synthesizing strategies across merchandise, retail, creative, PR and content/marketing, as informed by consumer dynamics and marketplace needs. This includes development of Franchise Playbook, presenting and socializing strategy across various size audiences.

Track Franchise health including regular commercial reviews, competitive analysis, driving focus on Franchise development and growth, using actionable insights: consumer, financial, retail, content, marketplace data etc.

Support Regional Commercialization, Category, Publishing, Games and Global teams with franchise strategy development, licensee relationships, content pitches, planning and activation

Serve as franchise champion within division and support franchise stewardship efforts leading creation of product and/or marketing guidelines for brands/characters as needed.

Help build case for and support cross-enterprise franchise campaigns activations with a multi-platform approach in partnership with Marketing Strategy, Synergy and Communications

Partner with integrated retail to plan and execute strategic product programs across all tiers, including identification and implementation of creative and account specific strategies and needs.

Franchise partner to Global Creative and Product Development, briefing new style/product guides, branding and packaging guides and marketing guides

Lead development of global pitch materials, calendars, sizzles and marketing tools

Key liaison with cross-company partners including Events, Public Relations, Digital, Legal and Finance

Required Qualifications Skills:

7+ years of progressive brand/franchise experience with global consumer products or entertainment organization

Strong understanding of the Star Wars / Lucasfilm brand and fanship

Strategic thinker with a mix of commercial and brand management skills

Excellent presentation skills and demonstrated ability to craft stories

Superb verbal and written communication

Excellent follow up and follow through

Resourceful, innovative, and responsive to change

High comfort level with data and analytics

Proven track record in developing collaborative partnerships

Proven ability to be resourceful, decisive, confident under pressure, and comfortable working in a fast paced, growth-oriented environment.

Flexible/adaptable-able to collaborate, influence and persuade at all levels of an organization

Ability to listen, observe and; read a room and adapt approach as necessary

Able to drive internal focus through visual sales tools; compelling strategy

Comfortable managing a small team; managing and guiding indirect stakeholders

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $135,000.00-$181,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
