Description
As a Sr. LVN for the Family Health Center clinic in Santa Monica, you will provide direct patient care for a diverse patient population in a multi-specialty practice. You will work closely with physicians, medical students, advanced practice nurse students, residents, and fellows in the following disciplines: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Addiction Medicine, Pharmacy, Behavioral Health, and Sports Medicine. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist in minor procedures
Administer medication and vaccines
Take vitals
Assist in infection prevention
Educate patient and their family/guardians
Salary Range: $33.60-44.33 HourlyQualifications
Required:
Current LVN license issued by the State of California Board of Vocational Nursing
BLS from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
Possession of active Intravenous and Phlebotomy Certification.
Ability to accurately perform and document vital signs and anthropometric measures.
Competency in administering medications.
Ability to recognize abnormal vital signs.
Ability to recognize abnormal laboratory values and immediately report to the ordering providing and attending physician.
Knowledge of symptomatology of common and or life threatening medical problems.

Actively engage in promoting greater inclusion.
Perform phlebotomy, CPR, injections and other skills within scope of practice.
Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills and ability to use computerized patient care systems.
Preferred:
Knowledge of all instruments and supplies to assist providers to efficiently perform physical examinations and/or procedures.
Bilingual Spanish/English.
Knowledge of cultural competency.
