The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Application Developer, EPM at our National Center office located in Dallas, TX. (flexible work arrangements available)
The Sr. Application Developer, EPM is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining EPM solutions to help organizations manage and optimize their financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, reporting, and analytics processes. This role requires a solid grasp of finance, technology, and data management, as well as expertise in EPM tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities
EPM Solution Development:
Collaborate with business collaborators to understand their financial processes and requirements.
Provide support to business users on overall EPM platform encompassing Financial Consolidation and Close, Planning and Budgeting, and Account Reconciliation modules.
Data Integration and Transformation:
Extract, transform, and load (ETL) financial and operational data from various sources into the EPM system.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency by implementing data validation rules, cleansing procedures, and reconciliation processes.
System Configuration and Maintenance:
Configure EPM applications and models to align with business processes and requirements.
Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure optimal system performance and security.
Process Automation:
Find opportunities for process automation within financial planning, reporting, and consolidation workflows.
Develop automation scripts or workflows to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
User Training and Support:
Deliver training and support to end-users on EPM tools, processes, and standard methodologies.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to EPM applications and data.
Performance Optimization:
Supervise and analyze the performance of EPM applications and models.
Optimize system performance by fine-tuning calculations, scripts, and configurations.
Teamwork and Communication:
Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including finance, IT, and business analysts, to ensure alignment between EPM solutions and organizational goals.
Optimally connect with collaborators up to and including the C-suite.
Stay Current with Industry Trends:
Stay up to date with the latest developments in EPM technologies, methodologies, and best practices.
Recommend and implement improvements to existing processes based on industry trends and advancements.
Achieve and maintain Oracle certifications.
Qualifications
Must have at least 5 years of implementation experience with Oracle EPM solutions such as Fusion and Hyperion.
2 years of implementation experience with Oracle EPM Cloud modules such as Financial Consolidation and Close, Planning and Budgeting, Account Reconciliation, and Profitability and Cost Management. Hands on activities performed to include: facilitating design workshops, configuring Oracle EPM Cloud following Oracle standard methodologies, identifying application gaps, providing, and evaluating recommendations to address gaps, completing functional designs, providing Oracle EPM Cloud process mentorship and training, and test plans and execution.
Must have at least 2 years of implementation experience with Essbase.
Experience integrating Oracle EPM Cloud with its Financials modules.
Experience with Oracle PBCS modules: financials, workforce, capital projects.
Knowledge of FP&A, financial close, and/or planning/forecasting business processes.
Project management experience planning implementation activities for Oracle Cloud solutions preferred.
Provides overall support with presenting sophisticated ideas in a clear and concise manner. Communicate process and application trade-offs and recommendations for specific customer requirements and user stories.
Wants to work in a creative problem-solving environment with an attention to detail.
Oracle Certifications in EPM modules a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field, or its equivalent.
