Description

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our client's team, a premier company in the hospitality industry based in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing accounting tasks, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. The role also involves accounting for cash, debt, equity, and continuously enhancing detail-oriented standards.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Account for cash, debt, and equity in an efficient and accurate manner

• Undertake the task of balance sheet reconciliation

• Prepare journal entries related to assigned areas

• Contribute to the continuous improvement culture within the team

• Manage bank reconciliations accurately

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks

• Contribute to the month-end close process

• Adhere and contribute to GAAP Accounting principles

• Take ownership of assigned areas and tasks

• Engage in special projects as required.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting role

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Expertise in account reconciliation

• Proficiency in balance sheet reconciliation

• Experience with bank reconciliations

• Familiarity with the general ledger

• Ability to make accurate journal entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with month end close processes

• Understanding of GAAP Accounting principles

• Demonstrated experience in a continuous improvement culture

• Knowledge of equity accounting

• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality industry environment

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Attention to detail and accuracy in all work

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
