  General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Space Systems Mission Architect to define and develop multi-domain mission concepts and implementation plans to enable General Dynamics to position for new and emerging multiple domain missions more effectively. The position provides an opportunity to enhance GDMS' space, ground, and multi-domain capabilities in supporting some of our nation's fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that carry out high-stakes national security missions and our Mission Architects are essential to working with our current and prospective customers to define concepts for evolving current missions and creating new national security mission capabilities.What you'll experience:Implementation of mission-level strategies, roadmaps, and cohesive integrated plans for GDMS to create and evolve mission capabilities to meet business and program objectives while enhancing quality and time-to-marketInterface with customers on technical matters regarding mission concepts and capabilities, program/products and customer requirementsWorking side-by-side with senior mission architects, systems engineers, system modelers, and simulation engineers to create, develop, and demonstrate (simulate and visualize) extensions to current mission capabilities and new mission capabilities and simulations supporting pre-proposal, proposal, and system development effortsWhat you bring to the table:A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field and is required plus a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree in engineering or a related technical field plus a minimum of 13 years of relevant experienceExperience in defining, developing, and evaluating concepts for and implementations of national security missionsKnowledge of products and technologies applicable to national security space and multi-domain missions, including current and potential applicationsKnowledge of national security space customer markets to include Earth Observation (all phenomenology's), RF Sensing, SATCOM, Space Superiority/ControlWhat sets you apart:Knowledge of government planning, programming, budgeting, acquisition, and contracting practices and regulationsKnowledge of modeling and simulation techniques and tools for end-to-end missionsExceptional aptitude for applying or developing highly advanced technologies, principles, theories and concepts#LI-Hybrid

  Target salary range: USD $181,949.60/Yr. - USD $201,850.40/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and othe factors (geographic location, etc.).
