This is a part-time position working at least 20 hours per week based out of our Seattle office.Who You AreYou are anexperiencedWetland Biologistwith a minimum of10 yearsof experienceleading or directing wetland delineations, fish passage restoration permitting, additional project permitting, environmental planning, document writing and review, and project management for small to complex projects in thePacific Northwest.You have served as the primary author on a variety of environmental documents such as wetland delineation reports with functional assessments, biological resources assessments and evaluations, technical reports, and permit applications utilizing your excellent writing and communication skills. You have a track record of successfully managing projects and tasks to completion.You hold a Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related environmental or ecological field. Your skillset includes expertise in some or all of the following: wetlands, botany, restoration ecology, regulatory permitting, mitigation planning, and ecological monitoring.You perform occasional field survey work, safely operate, load, and transport equipment and gear, and cross fences, creeks, and other obstacles. Experience with digital field data collection tools such as GPS, ArcGIS Collector/Field Maps, Fulcrum, and Survey 123 is desired, but not required.You have experience delineating wetlands using the Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manuel and Regional Supplements. You work collaboratively with clients and interdisciplinary teams to deliver your projects on time and within budget and have aided in or solely managed scope, schedules, and budgets. You are an effective team member and communicator who contributes constructively and cooperatively to solve project and team challenges. You provide mentoring to foster teamwork and elevate others.What You Will Do for ESAAs a senior Wetlands Biologist, you will lead, direct, or support wetland delineations, biological field studies, and permitting projects, including fish passage restoration. The biological field studies may include vegetation classification and habitat mapping, wetland delineation and assessment, native flora and fauna surveys, nesting bird studies, and endangered species occurrence documentation.You will serve in a variety of roles, including Project Manager, Task Manager, and Field Lead for simple to complex projects in the Pacific Northwest. Responsibilities include overseeing the completion of specific project tasks including coordinating the project delivery schedule, handling project logistics, and disseminating and maintaining project-related information.You will serve as the point person for team members and client questions and ensure that high-quality work and project assignments are delivered on time, and within scope and budget. You will demonstrate a clear understanding of project management principles and practices and be responsible for the development of project scopes of work and budgets based on client needs.You will complete permit applications and associated environmental documentation by applicable guidelines and requirements according to the agreed-upon schedule with the client.
