  Senior Software Engineer, Staff Experience

  In this role you will be working in the Staff Experience team that builds a web-based product used byour customers’ care managers to interact with their members. We usecutting edgetechnologies and follow best practices for software engineering and development.This is a full-stack web development team spanning UI (React) to backend services (Java and Ruby on Rails) and database (Postgres).

  What you will do:

  Translate user stories into software solutions

  Work closely with product managers to understand the business problems and help in scoping the user stories

  Collaborate with designers to ensure we deliver an optimal and accessible user experience.

  Collaborate with engineering manager and technicalleadto provide good project estimates for on time delivery of projects

  Validate technical design with other engineers

  Maintain a high standard for code quality for yourself and others on the team, including automated tests

  Lead projects end to end which include technical design, development, testing and on time delivery with high quality

  Debug and fix challenging production issues

  Participate in on-call rotation to ensure exemplary uptime and reliability

  Work with customer support to triage, diagnose, and resolve bugs

  Identify and lead process and technology improvements

  Identify process, tooling and feature improvements to improve product quality and engineering productivity

  Contribute to the team’sroadmap for implementing technical and process improvements

  Mentorsoftware engineers and interns to guide their technical growth

  Education, Experience, & Skills Required:

  BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field

  Advanced working knowledge of Javascript and Typescript

  Expert in ReactJS and experienced with other JavaScript frameworks

  At least7years full-stack web development experience.

  At least3years experience building SaaS or cloud-based commercial software products

  Track record of leadershipof design and implementationfor large full-stack web projects, includingUI, service API, anddatabase

  Excellent communicator, comfortable explaining technical problems and plans in person and in writing to both a technical and a non technical audience

  Demonstrable history of technical mentorship

  At least 3 years experience with Java is preferred

  Experience with backend frameworks such as Spring or Ruby on Rails with a microservices architecture is preferred
